Mathematics is a very important subject. It is a pre-requisite to many courses in higher-learning, such as the sciences, engineering, business and commerce, medicine etc. Students who have a strong foundation at secondary school level tend to go on to a higher learning course with ease. Personally, a student strong in Mathematics also tends to be more creative, and more capable in problem-solving and logical thinking. Mathematics therefore should certainly be made a priority for secondary school students.

English is the official language in Singapore. It is also the common communicative language of the world.
